How do I open the parent corner?
Press and hold the small dot in the top-left corner of the screen for three seconds, then answer the question on the keypad. The parent corner has the sound switch, camera help and the steps for locking the phone to the app.
How do I keep my baby inside the app?
iPhone: use Guided Access. First, open Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access, turn it on and set a passcode (you only do this once). Then, with Mirrimoo open, triple-click the side button (or the Home button) and tap Start. To finish, triple-click again and enter your passcode.
Android: use app pinning. First, open Settings and search for "pinning" to turn on App pinning (some phones call it Pin app or Screen pinning). Then open the parent corner in Mirrimoo and tap "Lock the phone to this app". To unlock, open the parent corner again and tap "Unlock the phone".
I see a cartoon face instead of the camera.
That means Mirrimoo doesn't have camera access, or no front camera is available. Open the parent corner: it shows a "Try the camera again" button or a shortcut to Settings, where you can allow the camera for Mirrimoo.
There's no sound.
Check that sound is on in the parent corner and that the phone's volume is up. On iPhone, Mirrimoo also follows the ring/silent switch, so it stays quiet when the phone is set to silent.
Is anything recorded or saved?
No. The camera picture is shown on screen and never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The app doesn't use the internet. See the privacy policy for details.
How long should my baby play?
Mirrimoo is meant for short moments of play together, like a few minutes of peekaboo in the mirror. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests keeping screen time for babies very limited and shared with a grown-up.
